Custom Crib Quilts
vs
Custom Crib Comforters

What's the Difference?

On the outside, both look the same. It's what's on the inside that makes all the difference.

Custom Crib Comforters use a lofty polyester batting to give a plush, warm, and thick comforter. Although thicker, because of the synthetic batting, Crib Comforters are actually lighter in weight than Crib Quilts. Crib Comforters provide lots of warmth on very cold nights.
Quilting(stitching to hold all the layers together) on a crib comforter must be 4" - 5" inches apart to hold the synthetic fibers in place

Custom Crib Quilts use a 100% cotton, heirloom quality batting. Crib Quilts are not as lofty as Crib Comforters, but the cotton batting allows for better air circulation and "breathing." Cotton has the capacity for absorbing moisture, thus creating a cooling effect in the summer and natural warmth in winter. Custom Crib Quilts get softer with each washing. Crib Quilts can be quilted 8" - 10" inches apart.
